This student project focuses on using typography as a visual element to bring written content to life. The design highlights the details of the text while showcasing the unique character of the typeface. Through composition, scale, and movement, the project explores how typography can communicate both meaning and visual expression.
This typeface gives me a strong sense of nostalgia. It reminds me of old typewriters, vintage newspapers, and the stenciled lettering once sprayed onto factory equipment and military objects. I wanted to build on this feeling by using texture to give the typography a worn, imperfect quality, making it feel more physical and connected to the past.

I combined modern typography with retro colors and visual elements to create a style where the past and present meet. The clean, precise typography contrasts with the nostalgic vintage aesthetic, creating a layered and playful visual experience. This balance between old and new reflects my interest in bringing familiar retro elements into a more contemporary design language.
